Jay has been interviewed hundreds of times by media throughout the nation and world and he has written about a wide range of topics, including volunteerism and charitable service issues and opportunities, individual empowerment, tolerance, and the building of a national observance. SOME Video HIGHLIGHTS

For its feature report about the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, NBC's "Today Show" interviewed Jay about the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance ("9/11 Day") he co-founded and about his late brother, firefighter Glenn Winuk's heroism on September 11, 2001, and the national service movement his actions helped inspire.

“Service: The Legacy of 9/11” On July 12, 2023, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in NYC convened a panel to address the impactful service initiatives that are still growing and making a difference for communities in need. Panelists included Jay Winuk, co-founder of 9/11 Day, and Howard Lutnick, chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald. The discussion was moderated by Elizabeth Hillman, president and CEO of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

Jay discusses the origins of 9/11 Day and the opportunity people everywhere, especially young people, have to make a difference in their communities and for people in need.

CBS Albany In this feature report Jay is interviewed by broadcast journalist Greg Floyd about his inspiration for co-creating the nation’s largest annual day of charitable engagement.

FOX Sports The NFL is among numerous professional sports leagues and teams that substantially support the 9/11 Day of Service. In this nationally broadcast NFL game, the announcers helped promote the observance to millions of viewers.

ESPN Jay led the planning and staging of several widely attended press conferences in multiple U.S. cities at which 9/11 families publicly expressed their outrage at the Saudi-funded LIV Golf Series. The media events attracted worldwide attention. Jay was among the speakers at this media event in Bedminster, NJ, as featured in this ESPN report.
